Day 12: In His Presence Is Joy

You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Psalm 16:11

Every day we get to choose which path we will journey on. We can choose our own path, or we can ask our Father to show us His way. Although each path in life may look the same -- same circumstances, same struggles, same heartaches -- they are totally different. The path our Father leads us into is His presence, and there we find fullness of JOY! This joy is not limited to a fleeting “feeling”; it is a gift that strengthens from our Father.

When we journey with the Lord, we realize that our Father IS with us, He IS our protector, He IS our hiding place, He IS our provider, He will NEVER leave us, and He will NEVER abandon us…He IS our peace, our hope, our salvation, and our comforter. Christ Himself is our shield and exceedingly great reward!

Choose daily the direction that draws you closer to God and His ways. It is what Christ has done that brings us eternal life and eternal joy!

Prayer and or Action Steps:

1. Listen to Keith Staten's "In Your Presence"
2. Today, choose to sit in His presence (your secret place). Be still, calm yourself, steady your heart, be quiet, and listen.  
3. Journal what the LORD has shown or spoken to you. Thank Him for leading you to a path full of JOY. Throughout your day, stop and set your heart upon Him. (Lord, I give you my attention and I worship You because in YOUR PRESENCE THERE IS FULLNESS OF JOY)
